What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is an ancient form of holistic healing that uses pure essential oils extracted from flowers, herbs, trees, seeds and fruit. Essential oils enter the body through skin absorption and inhalation. Once inhaled, aromatic signals are sent to the limbic system of the brain where they directly affect the mind and emotions. When applied to the skin, the chemical constituents in the essential oils are absorbed into the blood stream and are carried throughout the body where they have a healing effect. Aromatherapy is a holistic and natural way to treat conditions such as headache, stress, muscular aches and pains, eczema, PMS, fatigue, toxic buildup, sleep difficulties and digestive disorders.
